Well, I could put the ZIP file on my school's server which is super-fast, but if much bandwidth is used they might get upset.
Or I could put it on my home server, but I run bittorrent all the time and only have 2K/s to spare or so. But that's more than enough to seed a torrent, just not enough to transfer to people individually.
The real question for hosting a torrent is: What's the best place to submit a torrent? MiniNova.org?
I'd make the torrent, and seed it as well............if I had these files...

It wouldn't be much, but with bittorrent bandwidth is "multiplied" by the swarming effect.... My ISP gives us shell accounts with unix pages. I could probably put it there on a trial basis for non-torrent downloads but having mirrors would really help. I don't know much about the "mirror" community but I know sites like http://www.DOWNLOAD.COM and http://www.FILEPLANET.COM mirror lots of people's files. Here's another idea of what you could (should?) do: Make a "full" distribution of EvilLyrics that already includes the karaoke files. So when you install it, you already have the lyrics. If download.com hosts shareware, they would host this too. It would just be another 7M. That would be nothing for them.... They are willing to host programs more than data, which is why putting the data INTO the program would make it happen as a side-effect. Sneaky, but not unethical at all in my opinion.[/i][/b] |

I had set the torrent to 'public' on demonoid.com, but I guess that didn't work.
The magnet URL you should be able to enter into the latest version of Azureus, but I have never tried that myself, sorry.

Azureus is a BitTorrent client, arguably the best and most versatile. Although it runs on java, which puts off even me. http://azureus.sourceforge.com I think. Or just google it. |

Dunno, it's too much work to keep reposting it over and over.
Maybe I should run my own tracker.
For now, try the magnet URL with azureus, it oughtta work, but I switched ISPs, I'm not connectable, life sucks, so who the hell knows. I'm bummed.
