For all who had problemswý   !‘>î@6Ello debug versionfelipin-siouxfetago@ig.com.br200.100.41.193–{ðA¬
ng process and hopefully we will be able to discover where/why the program is crashing.

To have the correct logs needed, please follow in order these steps.

1. First, try out Ello 0.4.1 beta (released today), to check if the problem persists.

2. If it persists, download the debug version attached to this thread. Rename your old ello.exe to anything else (eg. elloOLD.exe), unzip the attached ellodebug.exe and rename it to ello.exe. Note: it is important to have this debug version in the same folder and with the same name (ello.exe) than the previous version

3. If ELLO is showing on your screen, you can skip this step
Ok. Ready for the tests. First problem we will check is that if ELLO is loading all ok, but it is hidden somewhere outside the screen (because of multiple monitors, etc).  For that, open the Run dialog from the Start Menu and type the full path to Ello.exe, followed by
/defaultpos. Ex:
Quote
"C:\Program Files\EvilLyrics\ello.exe" /defaultpos

(P.S. Pay attention to the quotation marks)

4. If the previous steps didn't help, there is really a problem going on here.. Let ELLO create a default log for its action, without any extra configuration, by running:
Quote
"C:\Program Files\EvilLyrics\ello.exe" /log

5. Ok. Now, go to the folder where ELLO is installed and delete the file ello.exe.manifest. Then, run:
Quote
"C:\Program Files\EvilLyrics\ello.exe" /log /noxpstyle

6. If step 5 didn't help, run:
Quote
"C:\Program Files\EvilLyrics\ello.exe" /log /noxpstyle /nooptions

This way, ELLO won't load any "extra" feature, like the search, the karaoke counter, etc.
Note: this step will modify your current ELLO settings. Anyway, this isn't a problem at all. You can reconfigure them later in some seconds.

These are the possible settings for the debug version. If it solved the problem, please tell me which step did it. If it didn't solve, please attach here or send me an e-mail with the log files that were generated during the process. They will be created in the same folder as ELLO is installed, and will be named ELLOlog 'date' 'time'.txt.

Well at least now we have a clue. It seems that the problem is related with the SingleFolder feature. Do you really use the cache organization as a Single directory, or is it wrongly detecting it?

Ok, I found the bug and fixed it. It was really a problem with the SingleFolder organization.. I hope it is working well now..
You can download new version with the bugfix: ELLO 0.4.1 beta 2

Btw, what theme are you using in your xp? it looks very nice..
