I use to use another Lyrics program/add-in where I could have it automatically put the lyrics in the id3 tag. I'd like this option instead of the cache set up.

I most certainly agree! Almost NONE of my mp3's have any lyrics embedded in their ID3 tags--this program would be another step beyond the others out there if it had the option to automatically write ID3 lyrics to files that don't currently have any.

..One step better would be an option to add the ability to allow the user to select a directory, in which it scans for all mp3s within it (and all subdirectories), and generates a queue to automatically search for lyrics.. adding them to each mp3 as it finds them. Of course, options would probably have to be implemented for fuzzy matches and 'no match' mp3s could be seamlessly skipped. It would be a timely process, so allowing this 'batch lyric-fetching process' to run in the background--all while you enjoy your current tunes--would make this app blow all the others out of the water!

Just my two-cent suggestion. . Anybody else agree, or think there might be a better idea or implementation? ?

i fully (or totally? donnu.)  agree  to S][evo!!
it would be, well, perfect then Cheesy

i don't like my tweak that changes the song every x seconds
only to gather all lyrics for all of my mp3s.
its just not a fine solution.

i would LOVE a kind of batch job for all of my mp3s!!

and i would also love saving the lyrics to the mp3s!

You should probably check out Ottos script at http://ottodestruct.com/blog/2005/10/17/itunes-and-evillyrics/

Hmm, would be nice if EvilLyrics would just add the ability to call this (or maybe any) script directy from the application by having user defined buttons...  cool
