a quick and easy button on the toolbar to choose filename & folder to store the current viewed text - will be great for PDAs that can read TXT files on their memory card.
TIA

some time ago i was thinking about button which would open current text in notepad. it's easy to do, does not bloat application, and you can do with the text whatever you want ... edit/save/print ... would this help?

Actually, the new button can replace the "Hold & Open for editing" button. What if you make the text in the textbox edit enabled after download completes? And whenever the window closes or jumps to another lyric, it automatically saves it?  cheesy

I agree with Marek - the current behaviour is good and won't "surprise" you while editing if new song gets played...Smiley

I will DEFINTELY like to see that "open with notepad" button - it would be great: you could still edit & save the original text file in the cache folder, and you'd also have that useful "save as...".

With the added benefit of reducing the bloatness - it's a winner
(if only could this #$@% karaoke thing could be totally exterminated too...Wink

Thanks for this excellent software !!!

personally i don't like notepad, cuz it sux. so if the open-in-notepad-button could be a open-in-[your-editor (metapad)]-button, i would be glad. I see to way to make this: 1) EvilLyric just opens the .txt file like you do in explore, and dependig on your system settings it would open in notepad or whatever app you use for .txt. 2) an configuration option insite EvilLyric.
