All I've heard is unanimous praise for this product.  However, I haven't been able to locate any lyrics whatsoever using it.

It recognizes my media players, and lists the "artist - song" match for whatever I'm playing.  However, in the status bar on the bottom left it always says "Lyrics Not Found", and nothing appears in the main window.  The only other hint that something has happened is a smiley in the bottom right.

I know it's not simply that I listen to rare songs, because I've also tested it out with everything in the top40 to no avail.

I'm operating over a college network, but have no problem accessing the internet through other programs.

What am i missing that is keeping this program from returning any results at all?

Thx, Jeff

Oh, and my apologies for putting this in "General", i guess maybe it should have been "Bug Reports"?

One more thing, if i click on the 'properties' icon, i get the error message "Run time error '53' / file not found", so i havent been able to do anything involving changing settings.

i fixed one bug that might be the reason for error 53. Please try downloading latest version from Development section and let me know bug still persists. thanks

thanks, but no luck, still getting run time error 53 and no lyrics.

Do you think the no lyrics issue is because I am on a school network?  Because the program doesnt seem to do any processing or anything when i try and search, it just immediately tells me that no lyrics have been found.
Also, if it is an issue regarding a proxy or anything, then is there anything I could directly type into the setup.txt since I cant go through the properties menu?  Still, numerous other internet programs have been able to work without any proxy configurations, such as P2P programs.

Finally, another bug: EvilLyrics doesn't seem to close properly.  the window closes but the evillyrics.exe thread stays running in the background.  At one point, i found something like 8 or 9 copies of it running through taskmanager.  That's not a big problem tho, as i can just shut down the thread through taskmanager.
