This seems like a weird problem.  The program seems to work just fine, it's just that the toolbars at top at bottom of the window (all menu choices) do not appear unless I mouse over them, then they disappear when I mouse off.  All that appears normally is the text area itself and the scroll bar at right.  I've uninstalled / reinstalled several times with not success fixing this.  I'm using Media Monkey.  I'd apprieciate any advice!

Right click on the EL screen and un-tick Compact Mode. I too struggled with this one.
