I've been using Evillyrics for some years now.  Suddenly, I'm getting this error message.  I've tried the suggestions in the FAQs to no avail.

Ditto .... Only changes I can think of to the system etc. are the installation of the following games: Clue, Command and Conquer: Red Alert 2 and the Yuri's Revenge update.

It seemed to work fine with my PC-cillin internet safty programs, including the firewall - though one of the updates could have caused this too ... I have no clue.

I would assume its a problem with their server and not what you've installed if its happening to everyone

 huh

I am getting this error as well, even after an uninstall and re-install

The only updates I have made today is the #$%^&*( update Microsoft pushed out to my computer for IE7

Is EvilLyrics built on an IE dependant DLL that may no longer exist?

Same problem.
Using this for a long while and it stopped working today.

If there is no fix are there other players that do the same thing?

Same problem. Dont't think it has anything to do with "their server" - because there is noserver EvilLyrics has to use. It should independently crawl different lyrics sites for the the song contents without needing a server. Are all of you behind a private router? I imagine there could be a problem with port forwarding - that means the router alters the ports for the incoming or outgoing connections, but the program needs a special port. Does anyone know, which ports are used? I just figured out for outgoing connections it's the standard port 80. But I cannot determine ports for incoming connections since I couldn't capture any relevant traffic. If anyone knows how to solve the problem or how to get in contact with one of the "maintainers", please tell us. The idea of the program is way too good to let it decay on my hard disk ...   =)

I'm having the same problem as everyone else 'Lyrics not found'
I imagine it probably is something to do with ie7 or something. BTW I'm using Vista RC2.
It *had* been working fine, however it no longer functions.

I have IE6 and I am getting the same problem.

I don't think we can blame MS for this one.

Since their is no server what the hell do we do?
Are their alternate program?

I tried minilyrics but it sucks.

Same problem here.
Evil Lyrics has worked fine for years, ... not anymore (though nothing has changed on my router or firewall)
And I have done a windows update recently. Could that be the problem?
How come none of the admins responds as this seems to be a common problem?

Thx
