Hi..

One thing that really annoys me in build 141 is this popup thingy (Karaoke index is not updated for XX days)

That popup window..

It is quite annoying and if I remember right here... Couldn't we hide this before with an option?
Anyhow.. now it is a can't do

I like to see a new INFO row/bar in EL that show such things.
(Maybe under the toolbars?)

And now nothing clutters my lyrics window and nothing that annoys me Wink

Kwan,

you can disable it in the settings.txt file.. It is [ShowPopups] item in the Extra Options section.. Just set it to 0..

Hope that helps  grin

Ahh now it works...
Thanks..

But now another question (now that I know why these extra options exists)

How come these txt options is where they are?
Isn't it supposed to be as user friendly as possible? Manual editing of ini files is not what I think is user friendly for everyone (Sure people like this more than a GUI and sometimes I do agree, but for the average people that I believe use your nice software I think that this is not what should exist)

Maybe EL now have so much options and features that a makeover of the GUI should be fine.
What worked liked a charm before, maybe don't work now.

Just some thoughts

Kwan,

Strong customization is not always good..  While a very customizable software is the dream of every power user, too much things to choose is confusing for normal people... Some times it is better to offer some default settings than letting them choose what they want. Specially if an user is unexperienced with a software, he might not even know what some options mean..

Allowing these not-very-often-changed settings to be still customizable from the .ini file is a nice way to give the power user the level of customization they want (and this kind of user won't mind manually editing the .ini file) and yet not bloat the Options Dialog for normal users.
