I have WinXP and EL used to work fine awhile ago, but now whenever I open up EL my screen goes black, and then all of the icons go back to pre-WinXP days.  All of the colors after this turn greenish and I think that is about all that happens.  I've uninstalled and installed probaly like 10 times and nothing different.  Any help would be appreicated.

I'm not sure if I'd have 2 different kinds.  I've downloaded it once from download.com, then I downloaded it from one of the websites under the download section on this site.

Yes, but now I can't even get EL to pop up when the screen goes black and the colors mess up.  It used to still pop up, but now it doesn't.
