I've tried to use EvilLyrics under firewall with proxy, and it failed to find any lyrics. Then I've searched through this board and found out that it is a common problem.

   So i've made a little test - run programm that listens specific port, accepts connection and prints out received data to console ('netcat'), re-entered proxy connection options and tried to search lyrics again. EL didn't even tried to connect to specified proxy port.
   This is valid for both stable 127 and development 132 builds. OS - Windows2000Pro.

Thank you for testing and providing information.

Just wanted to know if you allowed (in your firewall) EvilLyrics' access to that proxy server and that specific port?  It is strange that it is not trying to connect to the proxy server. Maybe it is trying to connect but being blocked by the firewall.

Yes, connection is ok - I've used telnet with the same IP/port parameters and from the same mashine on which EvilLyrics is running - netcat accepts connection and prints out data that I'm typing in telnet.
